Ratchet style bow press CNC machined from aircraft grade aluminum. Simply place over bow limbs and tighten ratchet until you have slack in the string and cable. Unresponsive Gobblers

During the early part of the season we had a lot of hunters that came through the store with the same story, " they are gobbling in their own or very little at all, not responding and when they hit the ground they shut off" This can be EXTREMELY frustrating! Some hunters like to stay put and wait them out- hoping he'll come back, others like to try and relocate them, or some try calling differently...

What do YOU think is the best way to bag a big one when he's acting like this??

Season Report

So far most hunters are not doing so well. Most gobblers seem to be gobbling on the roost and hit the ground quiet - usually with hens. No reports whether or not hens are going to set later in the morning or not.

As for the lucky few that have bagged them, seem like they were in the right place at the right time. Overall I've heard conservitive/finesse calling seems to be better than yelping your head off!

Anyone have any other Reports?

Turkey Scouting report

Went out to listen for turkeys near Crumpton in upper QA Co this morning. Misjudged dawn by 10-15 mins or so, but wasn't too late to still hear some birds on the roost. Heard at least 4 different toms in 3 places (2 were together). Once fly down time came, they shut up. Should only be getting better....

Got there about 635, should have been there 620 or so.

Eastern Neck in cooperation with NWTF will have a gobbler-only spring Youth Turkey hunt on the refuge.

The hunt will be 2 saturdays: April 26th and May 17th.

-A refuge hunt permit will be required with the number of permits issued limited to three each hunt day. (The reason for limiting the number of youth hunters to 3 each day is to ensure that the hunt is a high quality, safe experience for the participating youths.)
