Flocking?????

Is flocking for the geese or for the hunters?

Discuss.

My personal opinion is that it really does ad Realism to your spread. When you compare it to shiny black paint, it makes a huge difference. If the decoys are painted with a true matte finish however, I don't think it makes as much difference.

I think its a combo. I can see it easier for the company's to flock a head instead of finding a matte paint that will stick and hold up and not fade. Since most all the decoy companys have gone to it then I can see the hunters feeling that it has to be better. When it might just be a $ thing.

Its like the old fishing statement. The lure doesnt need to catch fish, just the fisherman so he will buy it.

How about a flocked tire decoy then?
