Welcome Aboard! The Dog Days of summer call for the frog. My go-to is the Optimum Baits Poppin Furbit. I am using the Black color on the Bright (Blue Bird) sky conditions and the Sunshine Burst color if there is overcast skies. I am also having good success with a new color (Black with Yellow Nose). The thicker the grass the better and the last half of the out-going tide is the most productive for quality fish.
Smaller size swimbaits such as the new Optimum Baits Double Diamond and Baby Line-Thru are my choice for fishing the grass on the higher end of the tide and outside edges on the lower end of the tide.
To help determine which grass beds to fish I am watching for the birds the Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles and active bait fish. I am concentrating on these areas.
We are applying CB’s Hawg Sauce to all of our baits in the Bass Honey & new Shad flavor about every 20 cast’s. www.cbshawgsauce.com .
Legend Bass Boats www.ridewithalegend.com. Is now the official boat of Karl’s Bassin’ Adventures Guide Service. I am running the Alpha 199 series powered by a Mercury 225 Pro XS. Very impressive boat. Excellent ride in the rough/choppy Upper Chesapeake Bay waters and stable fishing platform.
FOR SALE
I am selling my 2003 Stratos 185 Javelin Series Bass Boat powered by a 2003 Evinrude FICHT outboard. Runs great and has many new accessories. For more information, Please contact Capt. Karl at kwbunch@comcast.net or (410) 459-7445.
