Goose Decoys!
What is everyone's opinion on the decoys out there now?? Greenhead Gear, Final Approach, Hard Core, Big Foot, Real Geese, etc.
Which do you like, which would you buy??? Why?

Re: Goose Decoys!
GreenHead Gear decoys are the nicest looking for the price in my book. Big Feet seem to never break though I like them both.

Re: Goose Decoys!
Love the durability of Big Foot, but love the motion of the Green Head Gear.
And Really like Real Geese. They're great for a quick easy spread and you can add #s quickly. Plus they create the illusion of movement!

Re: Goose Decoys!
I usually run a mix of Bigfoot and GHG. Bigfoot wins in the durabitly catagory, but I believe the GHG's offer a more realistic appearance. I'm looking forward to the new Dakota Decoys myself. They seem to have alot to offer.

Re: Goose Decoys!
I was curious about seeing the Dakotas with my own eyes. The pictures on the web make them look alot "humpier" than they are in person. I concur, good looking decoy.

We use a mix of Greenhead FFD Lessers, Honkers, 10 dozen RG II's, and some stuffers for those tough days.I am looking forward to seeing some Dakotas in person.

Re: Goose Decoys!
I have to say, now a days, all the big names produce very nice decoys. I am partial to Higdon FB's. I have several dozen and they work real well. They tend to stand up to the elements and the abuse put on them during the season. It doesn't matter if it is The first week in November or the last in January... they always pull in the birds. Heck, they even bring in the ducks. Thinking about buying another dozen this year. Good luck this year.

Re: Goose Decoys!
I hate to be the odd man out. I love my 6doz Realgeese! I was able to out hunt the next guy over with his 8doz Hardcores.
Re: Goose Decoys!
Don't worry, you're not the odd man out - We hunt over plenty of RealGeese and we absolutely LOVE them too! They're not very expensive, don't take a trailer to haul, light weight, easy to put out AND they create the illusion of movement in all of your decoys!
We do use a few full bodies and shells - Big Foot & FA too.
